Thank you everyone for your nice comments.
I am now working on the hair which has proved to be much more difficult than I had thought. Firstly Carrie's hair seems different in every scene -

and secondly, my own is neither long enough nor thick enough. Consensus is that Carrie would have had extra pieces so that's the route I'm going too.

With the aid of a faux twist, faux beehive and three faux buns at the back I can achieve this

Colour matching has been really tricky as fake hair is much cheaper online but the reality is seldom the same colour as the listing.

Just the sleeves to go! I'm going to have to satin bias bind the cloak armholes as the layers need strengthening to stay together.

This is certainly Professor level dress making!
For the cloak, this pattern is a good base but needs modifying ...
