I have removed the poppers and chest pocket from the duster, then spent yesterday dying the duster and a long sleeved t-shirt using the sandy beige as suggested. The t-shirt came out a bit darker but I think both should be ok?

I will do the camo paint once I get the trousers however I am going to wait on that till after my holiday in May. I think the next thing I will work on is a bandolier as this should be relatively cheap.

Nice start to the dye process. The tee does look a little on the dark side, but it could just be the lighting as it's indoors. You could maybe take a snap of it outside on the washing line so we can better judge the shade.

Thanks. I’ll try and get another picture when it’s brighter.

Quick picture of the t-shirt in normal daylight. Still not the best picture but it does look lighter than in the first picture.

Looks OK there but it has taken the dye really well.

Did some work on a bandolier today taking 2” wide drab olive webbing. Took 2 pieces and sewed them together in a v shape at the side.

I then used Velcro to attach the two remaining ends at the back side.

Next step would be to attach the webbing to hold in the greeblies. The instructions I’ve found say I should use 1.5” olive elastic but I have been unable to find any online. Would anyone have any suggestions on where this could be found or alternatives that can be used? I was thinking of just using the same webbing as the main bandolier to do it but am concerned because it’ll be the same width as the bandolier.

Or use narrower webbing in the same colour. If you fix the greebs in it needn't be elastic. I used green elastic from some braces in mine.

Got some thinner webbing and have pinned it on. Can you tell me if they look alright before I start sewing it on?

I have also got some tan material which I am hoping to use for the gators however I will need to do a few mockups first.

Is the webbing canvas or polypropylene? It looks a bit light from the pics so might do with some dirtying up later. If the loop diameters and separations are ok, checking with the studio studiocreations measurements as a guide then there's not a lot needs to be done.
Gaiters are really simple, 5 to 8 eyelet pairs and a tube shape will do. Some people extend the lower edge to curve lower around the ankle and fill them with padding or similar to stop them crumpling down. Colour isn't an issue as they can get very dirty.

I’m not exactly sure what the material is. I do think the colour is slightly lighter than the rest though but I hope that when I weather it that’ll it be less noticeable.
