Wip The last Jedi Crait resistance trooper CLEARED!

Post by Phil1880 » Tue Feb 13, 2018 3:11 pm

So I have decided to build a generic resistance trooper based on the images that are about. There are so many variations, a bit like the scarif troopers.

So I've order two of these old polish smock type military top, one to cut up to 're make the alterations to correct the hood shape.
I've got the bandoliers from my scarif kit that are the same.
The boots are Brown versions of the Poe boots, I have ordered these with the intent on turning them Brown, fingers crossed I will work.
Still working on the trousers.....Haven't found one's I'm happy with yet....they will need the knee pads adding.ImageImage

Good choice of costume! And always helpful to be able to recycle bits from another kit ... I'm looking forward to seeing your progress! :D

Rear view *cough*
Happiness is a warm A280. Or A300. Even a Glie-44 at a pinch.

Couple of stills , not a clear back pic. I hope the judges don't have such an issues with this one. No clear back shots again. Interested in the googles ,I've found some similar bit not quite the same yet.ImageImageImageImage

So a bit of progress.... still need some trousers, (these are not one to be used) I'm going for a chocolate brown and they will have the added oval knee pads. Colour of the top under natural light is similar to the added reference, obviously need weathering, cap also needs work. Lots are the po zu one's that are the closest to the film uses one's. Soles aree darker on sreen ones. I see the black ones are being alowed for Poe CRL for last Jedi. Might salt encrust then to be the to Crait and make it less obvious.

I've got so.e googles that I've modified and weathered to try to get like the screen shots. I've also weathered some combat caps, one in green and one brown....I think I'm going with green looking at most of the screen shots.ImageImageImage

Took some pictures with the canon slr on tripod and self timer. For some reason the app won't upload the files of I've screen shot my phone. I think I may dye the trousers a darker brown...also the bandolier is twisted on my back, more weathering but not far off I don't think...it's not a specific character just a generic mix of the troopers in the screen shots and book.ImageImageImageImageImageImage

My trouser colour is only slightly lighter than these and I haven't weathered mine yet..mmmmmm...May weather them and see first before making them to dark..... I've also got a PLCE reversed roll pin belt I may add also....Image
