Generic Rebel Marine (Scarif)WIP *Cleared 07/08/18*

Hi,
time for a new WIP, this time I'll be helping steal the Death Star plans, with my Generic Rebel Marine (Scarif)costume.
Basing the costume on Corporal Rostok (I like the BIG gun ) It won't be 100% accurate for the face character, so I'll have to go generic for now and upgrade later.
This is the look I'm after...



Steven Walker is handling most of the costume, he's already started my jacket, and so far it's looking great.



He is also modding the Blaster for me, so in all honestly I won't be doing much "work" myself.

Steven also managed to get me a pair of accurate goggles, so maybe he should be doing this WIP



I don't have much so far, but I've ordered most of what I need from ebay, so just waiting on delivery.
Here's a rundown of the costume...

Headgear:
Hoth-style soft cap in coyote brown with replica communication device and tactical goggles.
(Here's one of Steven's hats that he's already made. (Hope you don't mind me nicking your pics Stevie )



Torso:
Zip-up canvas jacket in brown, with military style stand collar. Sleeves will have row of tan stripes from shoulder to cuff. (Similiar to the Cassian Andor Jacket.)
M69-style flak vest in tan with accurate greeblie on upper left chest, colour matching pouch on left chest below the greeblie, and adjustment strapping. Colour detail on right shoulder in red and white.

Trousers:
BDU-style trousers in chocolate, with cargo pocket on each outer thigh, with accurate padding sewn in to knees.



Belt:
British Army PLCE roll pin belt in light olive. (Ordered from eBay.)

3. Field ration pouch with accurate emblem. (58 Pattern Bino Case from eBay. Not cheap btw, if you are ordering one for yourself use Silvermans. It's about 20 quid cheaper.)

5. Blaster: A-300 in carbine, rifle, or sniper configuration

Steven is handling this for me, will be a modified Casian Andor Nerf gun with added 3d printed parts.
Should end up exactly like this one below.

So will you dye the waistcoat and strip it back? I'm really interested as Corporal Maddel is on my to do list.

Also how were the stripes done on the jacket? they look really good.

Not sure how the flak vest will be done, it's another member that's doing all the hard work on the costume.
The stripes on the jacket are screen printed like the movie ones. (They look great, nice and puffy.)

Ahh, so like puff binder then? Its been a long time since I did screen printing.....I just had a quick google and there's so many binders now.

The pouch with the logo, where you've used a 58 bino case, in the visual dictionary (fielded by Sefla) is known to be a Serbian/Yugoslavian mess kit pouch. I got one from "an internet auction site" but never used it once I'd dyed it more brown.
Gives an option for alternate parts.

Yeah seen that Geoff, but you can't see Rostok's ration pouch on it. The pouch was based on a cleared Rostok costume it's defo' a 58 patt Bino case he used. If it doesn't clear it's easy to change the pouch, doubt it won't pass on that as the crl's don't state which type of pouch to use.

The generic allows pretty much anything, so you have plenty of choice.

Even for face clearances, you don't have to be accurate. My Calfor has an accurate Danish pouch, on the right hip where the flumps live, but I don't think anyone else does.

By the way, I'm having trouble ID'ng these pouches.



I think they might be Molle M4 2 Double Mag Ammo Pouch but not 100% sure. (Can't seem to find anything online that matches the look.)
Help is greatly appreciated.

Webbing complete, just have to add the logo on the pouch and make the cylinders for the Thompson pouch.
(Boots also arrived today.)
Oh and weather the hell out the lot :)
