Thanks Paul.
We can ask........But my thinking would be that it's a face character from the wrong era?

Re: Chris's additions to Jedi
Just for note though, Lyn Me doesn't have cones, but Oola has insanely large cones.
So Disney couldn't really make up their mind, back in the 80's.
But again, I'm not really that bothered, as I have the cones anyway.

Re: Chris's additions to Jedi
So excited to see this! Always love a Twi’lek
The mandalorian twi’s (by which I mean Xi’an and the blue Twi in the book of boba Fett teaser) are a bit odd, because quite aside from not having earcones they have very strangely shaped lekku - much higher set, chunkier and shorter. They’re a slightly more extreme version of Hera’s lekku. So if you were going to go the route of a mandalorian style head wrap/no ear cones, I’d advise to use wider set lekku to get the right look. Having said that, given Lyn Me has no ear cones I can’t see any reason why you couldn’t clear without them - clearly earless female twi’s aren’t uncommon!
Personally, I prefer the classic shape and Pam’s are top notch
for wearing them, I’d advise to get yourself a silicone swim cap, and wear it over your wig cap. Silicone only really clings to silicone, so I find this is the best way to keep them snugly in place under your headwrap. If you pull the silicone swim cap slightly further down on your forehead than the lekku (so you can see about an inch of swim cap, although it’s all covered by your headwrap!) I find that works best.
Headwraps are pretty easy to make. Maihen has a basic pattern on their blog which I used the first few times - google “Making a Basic Twi'lek Headwrap for Lekku”.
I’d advise you to create a little pocket for your earcones behind the hole in the headwrap - basically I use a circular piece of leather that Velcro’s to the back of the headwrap, roughly the size of the ear cones plus about half an inch for the velcro. It keeps them nicely in place and makes it easier for transport (e.g. they’re not falling out and getting lost!)
Makeup just takes some experimenting, just get a couple of purple eyeshadow shades and practice contouring with them!
Good luck and can’t wait to see it come together

Re: Chris's additions to Jedi
The good news is, I was able to comfortably wear the lekku, without any head wrap, just because I haven't got round to making one yet, for the whole afternoon a couple of weeks ago.
Caused something of a giggle on the daily work Teams call, but it was fun. I honestly haven't really had the time recently, with lockdown and self enforced isolation (therefore offspring have been around) to look any further into painting etc. I really want to get the costume parts all lined up for jedi and pilot so that I only have to apply colour once.
The aim this weekend is to get the pilot furthered. I have the stuff now to get on and work on that. Still need to lose an inch or several to be able to get back in my jedi stuff. Lockdown has not been kind. It's going, but not quick enough.

Fab thanks for that Bekky......it looks very much the same as mine. I just have pockets and a Velcro closure.

Re: Chris's additions to Jedi
Hive's response was that they are both face characters. Normally Twilek's have ear cones. So you will need them for you generic jedi. Let us know if you need support with the head wrap. I didn't post the pattern as the one above looked good to follow.
