Got my 2 yards of faux leather today for my spats, and gloves are nearly here. Fingers crossed the colour isn't trash or I am back to square one!
Will go shopping for some Chelsea boots this week which hopefully will keep me on track time wise.

Progress!
Found some lovely plain Chelsea boots today, and bought 2 yards of faux leather for the spats.

Colour comparison (I have 2 yards of this stuff now, pretty nice stuff)

Just need to make them now.
Missed my gloves in the post, so hopefully should have them in hand tomorrow. Really hope they aren't garbage because they were pricy for what they are.
Visited a local EVA foam retailer this week, planning the final part now. Feeling a bit more fired up again now.

Re: Michael Lee: Cmdr Jun Sato
Gloves are in... and they fit like a, well you get the point.
They are a womans XL, and my dainty hands only just go in them.
Quickly threw my tunic on, desperate need of an iron, not quite representative of how it sits on me, was just too lazy to sort it all out

Gloves are a wee bit darker then the rest, but colour matching is the path to insanity. All on tiogether I think they look fine, and cover my wrists nicely.
Next update will hopefully be my spats and then the armour.
Cheers,
Michael

Hi Michael, this is looking FAB! the colour match with those boots and the spats material is great!
I'm checking with a judge about the gloves colour......Personally I think that you've worked so hard it would be a shame not to match them.

Appreciate the feedback as always Empathy.
Not keen on replacing the gloves, but if it needs to be done for clearance, then so be it.
Think I'll stick with them until Chicago, as I'll only be going as a fan in a costume anyway, then I can search properly when time isn't an issue.

They said it will be commented on, but shouldn't effect clearance.
I will keep an eye out for tan ones for you....you never know, someone may have sourced reasonable ones from somewhere?

Cheers Empathy, will always appreciate a nudge if something better is found.
Want to focus on the last 2 parts now. Best case is to have a pair of gloves made from the stuff I bought for the spats Just needs time :).
