ESB chewbacca *Cleared*

Ok so after serious thought and talking at length with a few people ive decided to go for esb chewbacca .
Paul smith has given me some great advice
I know this is going to be more involved than my tk and getting that to centurion level but looking forward to the journey .

I have sourced a mask in the states pending deposit and after seeing the makers work first hand its what ill be going for ( unsure if its right to post pics of other peoples builds with masks from the same maker )

Now i believe is to decide how i get my height . Im 5 feet 10
So lifts or stilts

How high do i need to be ?

Also the mesh suits . Not a sewing machine here so hopefully can get something sorted

Any guides on the mesh suit ?
Where to buy ?

Once the above is sorted then will be asking alot more questions esp with regards to how far apart the latches are etc

Hi Dave.
To clear a Wookiee you should be over 7 feet from head to toe when fully kitted up. Chewie is recognised to be around 7 foot 6 although I don’t believe you need to be the exact height to clear a Chewie.
The main forum has good links on the main Wookiee page with sources for material for the mesh suits etc.
As for stilts etc it’s all down to personal choice. The solution I went for at least allows you to easily set your overall height.

Came across these jogging bottoms .


1 : the holes may be too small
2: may not be strong enough
3: would need extended

As you suggested I’d be worried about the strength of the material. You would also have possible issue with the circumference of legs depending on what solution you pick for the feet even if you were to add mesh to bottom of the legs. At least if you go with regular mesh solution the top and bottoms can be made to measure. Hope this helps
