Love the work jamie done on the head . Just hope i can do it justice with the bidy etc .
Have some high steppers now along with s2 leg band kit so can mod them to have twin side supports .
Once i add the ali supports . Will get on the high steppers and get some pics so can be guided on the under suit for where body / arms etc should hang.
Undersuut once i know how it should fit . Seamstress said one day it be done .
Prob be after mcm london now though but be good to get started :)
Mesh is sorted . Did post a link i think . Its great stuff too

Re: ESB chewbacca
So decided to start modding the high steppers .
Worse case scenario back to the wooden platforms and use the same supports .
Added a nut to the out sides to pull the support out a little more
Supports are 19.5 mm square by 2mm aluminium
These high steppers take me to 7 feet 4.5 / 7 feet 5 inches
Was initially thinking remore 3 inch from bottom of base . Slide back over the top and reattach with bolts and rivets .
Will the extra couple of inch make much difference when walking ?
Also in pics ive drawn a line where possibly to move the supports forward a little
2 small vids
First time on any for of stilt with supports .
Only flat area the hallway lol
https://youtu.be/7JJIyimxV5E
https://youtu.be/DdwdRji58mA
First wookiee steps feel like a elephant dancing on ice
Any advice and help apreciated

Re: ESB chewbacca
Looking good. Legs look a bit stiff in parts so might be worth trying the post a bit further forward and see how it goes. You just need to be comfortable in them and that will give you confidence mate. I’m looking to do the Kiltwalk with Chewie in September as it’s only 5 miles.ATAUK wrote: ↑Mon May 27, 2019 6:28 pmSo decided to start modding the high steppers .

Re: ESB chewbacca
Supports moved forward ..
May adjust leg bands a little lower as just on bottom of knee. Laces arnt directs behind knee unless band covers knee
No foam / rubber on base yet either
may still remove a couple of inch just hope if i do it will help
Outside on uneven path

Re: ESB chewbacca
Well today my head arrived from Jamie in the US ..
Beautiful work .
He aint in too bad shape after his long journey :)
Find best place for padding etc
Now to find a stand to keep it on that wont fall over
Now just gotta work out how im gonna add foam to base of high steppers while keeping the weight down and can get the mesh suit made up :)

Re: ESB chewbacca
Lovely mask from Jamie. As for a stand for it. Some people fit a head bust stand to an upturned bucket

Yep i love the mask its truly a work of art .
Had a manenequin body in the shed .( just torso ) on a stand . Removed base plate and pole . Used a bump cap on the top and now i have a great stand :) well it works :) and it wont fall over .
