Whiteees Wookiee *Cleared*
Hi, I started this chewbacca costume last year and had previously posted a WIP but was lost in the forum crash. Apologies that I haven’t got around to starting a new one until now.
Here is how the costume stands right now, it is in a constant flux of grooming/thinning/adding hair - but I’m sure that’s true for most Wookiee costumers!

Re: Whiteees Wookiee...
It’s a evilchimp mask (Recognisable), with custom latch hooked two piece suit.
Wearing my kiss boots I stand just over 7ft in costume (including mask), with added dark brown rubber toes. The bandolier is custom made by me with locally made large aluminium’s boxes and sources small “original” (?) aluminium Hammond boxes.
Sounds are provided through my converted kids mask, switches in glove with output through an aker amp.
Currently still working on my bowcaster (in the middle of house move so on hold).

You looks great mate, must be nice to not need stilts to get over 7ft

Re: Whiteees Wookiee...
Haha cheers - I do actually want to try some stilts to get a bit taller but the boots are safest option for my dodgy basketball worn ankles! They have 7 or 7.5 inch heel and I’m just over 6’3” with the mask adding the rest I come in around 7’-7’1Jerrick Sunrunner wrote: ↑Mon Aug 20, 2018 3:36 pmYou looks great mate, must be nice to not need stilts to get over 7ft

Re: Whiteees Wookiee...
I think for me personally I would take which ever option is easier to walk in naturally as I think that can really be the big difference between a number of Chewbaccas you see out there.

Re: Whiteees Wookiee...
Agreed - a "natural" walk helps to make the Wookiee all the more believable! And anything that makes it more comfortable to wear has got to be a positive.Jerrick Sunrunner wrote: ↑Mon Aug 20, 2018 7:39 pmI think for me personally I would take which ever option is easier to walk in naturally as I think that can really be the big difference between a number of Chewbaccas you see out there.

Re: Whiteees Wookiee...
Looks wise, and I'm far from an expert in such... such... things, I only think the dark hair from your right shoulder doesn't seem to go that far across the chest.
OT pics I've seen don't have the little tabs on the aluminium boxes unlike later episodes so I can't see much to comment on at all.
You'll be needing a porg at some point ( cough cough ).

Happiness is a warm A280. Or A300. Even a Glie-44 at a pinch.

Re: Whiteees Wookiee...
Thanks for help guys... approved a couple of days ago (my fault it took so long - took me 5 weeks just to get a photo to clearance team).
I have thanked Jamie directly but just want to say on record here the clearance process was again such a pleasurable and personal experience, not daunting like I thought it might be.
