Seriously ... these are brilliant. Fair play to the hairdressers for getting involved - I bet their customers had a surprise when they realised a Wookiee was getting a trim as well!

Would have loved to get him in a chair. Unfortunately the salon doesn’t get many Wookiee’s and isn’t geared for 7 & 1/2 clients but the girls were fantastic and did a great job

I didn’t have any control over the pics as they were all taken by my Dad. They’re purely for my wip so won’t be seen outside the forum.

So as this is my 1st wip wasn’t sure if this should be included or not. Here’s everything I plan to use under the suit. It consists of black compression leggings, a black compression top. Braces to secure the bottoms a Tramp voice box. Cotton white gloves which hold the remote for the tramp. A neck seal a second compression top to hide everything and the black “hands”

Thought I also show you a few pics of my mask. Personally I feel that the mask can make or break the whole costume and I certainly do have the skills to do it justice that’s why my mask is a commission from the fantastic Jamie Arielle. I couldn’t be happier with it and all I’ve had to do is add the padding and some additional strapping. Hope you like it as much as I do. That only leaves the bandolier and boxes to finish it off. These are currently in work and will post more soon

Hi Mark. It was made by one of the Wookiee judges. Jamie Arielle. She’s been so helpful with my build and even supplied the foam toes for my feet. I really hope to have everything done within the month and then see If Jamie thinks it good enough to go for clearance

Thanks. I’ll probably post up what I use to transport him as well because after two years with OC I’ve managed to get it down to one case and one bag (for the legs) and as you say it may be helpful for others.

So while I wait for my bandolier bits to arrive I thought I’d share something I’ve been working on. I’ve had OC for over two years now and always had issues with the bandolier moving about and causing the hair to tangle. It’s not much fun having a strap round your neck either. So this time I’ve fitted a couple of popper studs to the top just down from the neck line. They are fixed through some webbing for added strength. The mating parts are then added to a small Velcro strap that goes around the bandolier. This holds everything in place. A similar attachment is added to the leg and back of the pouch to secure this. I’ve also done the same to OC and tested it last weekend, where over the two days a 10+ hrs I didn’t have any issues. Hope this is useful for other Wookiee’s

I use a similar hidden popper on the lower face of my ERT bandolier which connects to a popper on my duster shoulder. Definitely prevents slippage.

My only worry is with the possibility of the neck stretching with the weight of the bandolier as OC’s is really heavy but I’m hoping to cut down on the weight by using printed boxes.
