Below are a couple of resources for taking your own body measurements. This will help if you are making your own costumes or need to supply these to a vendor. There is a downloadable measurement form below for you to use to record your measurements.

Where possible, try and enlist some help from someone. However, you can do so on your own. Trickier measurements can be taken from existing well fitting clothing. Try and work in one set of measurements only, either centimeters or inches and always use a true to size tailor's (flexible) tape measure. Tape measures can easily stretch and warp over time, so making a small investment in a new tape measure is recommended.
