Cheers, Paul., the other Paul (!) is sending me the visor harness, so I get the same one he had :)

Here’s the satchel I made. It’s not really for this build, as i’ll only be using it for unofficial troops, but thought i’d post it up anyway. Bandolier... still waiting on the small boxes :(

At last, the Worktall buckets are here!

Must say, they feel super sturdy!

Managed to hit my head on the doorway going into AND OUT OF the kitchen :D what a tool!

So here are a few pics wearing the mesh suit and Worktalls...

What do you think of the fit?

Looks fine. Although you’ll need to see what it’s like with the hair on. A couple of the pics make it look like your legs are out of proportion but the hair could sort that out. You’ll also need to see how the hair moves on the legs. I would think about ice hockey goalie shorts to help with the lines.

I’ve got some foam sheet on order for the legs and will possibly put supports up the sides of the legs.

Do you think that’d help?

Foam wouldn’t go that high up or you wouldn’t be able to bend your knees. If you do use foam I recon you’ll need some for of support at the side to hold it in place.

Can you articulate two foam tubes? One up to the knee and the other down to it?
Happiness is a warm A280. Or A300. Even a Glie-44 at a pinch.

Hmm, not sure, i’ll see how it looks in 2023, when I’ve got some hair latched :D

Unofficial bandolier / bag are almost done. Just need to fit the snaps (leather is too thick for my regular snaps) and the discs, maybe line the back side with some black fabric.

And had a go at painting the gums. I’ll add some bits of food in the teeth gum line :)

OK, teeth are currently sticking to the tongue, i’ve fitted the plastic chin piece, as per Paul H’s video and the head harness has been fitted.

Have also cut out eyes and mouth slit on the silicone mask - How do they look?

And regarding putting hair on the face, am I right in saying the correct order is:

1. Latch hair on to cowl... (do I stick the mesh to the underskull or silicone top of head?)
2. Silicone hair from the perimeter of mask inward, towards features. (Red arrows in pic)
3. Hair punch around eyes, nose, mouth (Yellow areas in pic)

I used the head strap anchor points to hold the side of the cowl in place then bonded the edge of the cowl between the underskull and mask using silicone then latched the hair to it. As for the order of attaching the hair it’s the same as I did.

Cool, so it’s sandwiched between the two. Makes sense!

Does the hair down the cowl need to be longer or shorter than the 9” strips i’m doing on the rest of suit?

Between 6 to 9 should be fine. No more than that.

Cool.
Did you spray the inside of the underskull black?
And where do you put padding, if any, inside the mask (apart from under the chin)

Didn’t bother spraying inside it not seen if done right so no point. If the strapping is in the right place you won’t need padding as it’s clamped to the forehead.
