SE – 13/06/20 – Witham Community Day – Witham, Essex

Post by DarthJay » Sat Jan 11, 2020 6:10 pm

EVENT NAME: Witham Community Day

DATE: 13th June 2020

TROOPING TIME: 10:30am - 3:30pm changing available from 9am

ADDRESS:
The Town Hall,
61 Newland Street,
Witham
CM8 2FE

The town hall is where we will be changing/having breaks.

The Town Park,
Maldon Road,
CM8 1HN

The actual event takes place in the town park which is just a few minutes’ walk from the town hall.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

- Secure changing room provided.
We will use the Town Hall function room to get changed, and there are toilets and a kitchen that we can use. Currently we’re likely to be the only ones using the facilities so we will have plenty of room. We will be provided with a full length mirror, tables and chairs. Because the event is in the park the organisers will make sure that a member of staff is on hand to open the Town Hall for us.

- No onsite parking
Unfortunately there is no onsite parking available as the Town Hall is on the High street. There is nearby alternative parking, the nearest one probably being Mill Lane (see link for prices).

- Some Light refreshments provided on the day
There will be tea/coffee etc. for us in the kitchen. Food won’t be provided but the organisers do plan to have food vendors at the event and may be able to work something out with them on our behalf.

- Blasters, Lightsabers, etc. are permitted.
The event is very similar to a summer fete, where there will be different stalls, traditional games, a display area etc. The organisers would like us to wander around and take photos with attendees/stall holders where appropriate. As long as it’s for a local charity then they are more than happy for us to collect donations. The park is under Braintree District Council’s authority though so any permissions will need to go through them.

POINT OF CONTACT ON THE DAY: TBC
