Hi Marian!
Welcome to the base!
By the looks of it you’ve made a good start with purchasing some good costume components.

We’ll require you to post photos of your full costume so we can take a look at it and see if anything requires modifying. Some items are “off the rack” generic sized items so they may need to be altered to fit and match the screen used items :)

One thing you will need to do is modify your black series helmet. The big red push button switch on the right of the cheek needs to be either removed or covered over so it looks like a part of the helmet and not a push button.
Judges will also require you to cover the microphone arm with grey vinyl.

We recommend that pilots customise their helmets with a different colour scheme as we only allow one helmet design to be out at troops at the same time.

Any questions please don’t hesitate to ask and I’ll help you as much as I can!

I see lot of work waiting ;-)

Any ideas for helmet painting scheme ? Maybe someone from forum have specific helmet design to recreate who is not use now in Legion ?

Other modification it's not a big problem

The helmet is really what makes the pilot stand out with the variety of designs that are personal to the wearer. Think of a colour scheme and the rest of the design follows naturally. As looking as it remains "in universe" it's unlikely you'll arrive at a design someone else has.
Happiness is a warm A280. Or A300. Even a Glie-44 at a pinch.

Have a look at the designs you see on the web or on other people WIPs
You can get ideas of why designs you like and then customise from there
You could use the same template but change all the colours etc

You can see mine ( yes it’s not an original trilogy helmet) in the fist two pics and the original film helmet I based it on.

Hope it helps

One more important question about costume standards - becouse i have problem with my feet i need comfy shoes - this one from set its very flimsy and far from comfort usage.

I found at ebay this kind of overboots - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hoth-Snow-Bo ... 0667.m2042

Simple its wear over comfy shoes / trainers - is it acceptable as a costume ?

Most spray paints will be fine, automotive ones from Halfords for example. I think Geoff tends to use the Ford colours.

Here’s a sample of helmet designs from the original trilogy.
As you can see most use white as a base layer then have a simple design on top.
The only thing you’re not able to use is real world logos or iconography like football team badges or icons from other franchises ie Star Trek.

In principal it could be its hard to say as I don’t know if anyone’s cleared with them. I’ll discuss this with another judge or two.
But if there is a medical reason for you being unable to wear other boots ( imperial boots offer a set)
It would be good if the white straps could be replaced with leather ones. And ideally they need some rivets added to the back.

I’ll get back to you so don’t order them before I’ve checked incase they aren’t suitable.

Although that's quite geometric, it's a known "real world" image. A different take on it could work, as chequers are quite commonly used.
